Salem Hope and Caring Ministry is a nonprofit organization committed to bringing hope, healing, and opportunity to underserved communities in remote areas of Haiti. Founded in 2010, our work is deeply rooted in our faith and driven by the call in Isaiah 1:17 to “defend the cause of the fatherless.” Each day, we provide over 60 children with at least one nutritious meal. But feeding hungry bodies is just the beginning. We are also dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through education—by building and supporting schools that offer children a pathway to a brighter future. Our mobile medical clinics extend care to entire communities, offering free consultations and medication where access to healthcare is limited or nonexistent. In every village we serve, we seek to restore dignity, health, and hope.
In addition to our outreach programs, we proudly support a local church that serves as a spiritual home and source of encouragement for many in the community. By strengthening the local church, we help nurture faith, fellowship, and long-term transformation from the inside out. What makes this ministry possible is our team of devoted volunteers—from all backgrounds, professions, and walks of life—who come together to be a light in hard-to-reach places. At Salem Hope and Caring Ministry, we believe every child deserves to be seen, loved, and given the tools to thrive. Through food, education, medical care, and spiritual support, we are building a legacy of lasting impact—one life, one family, one community at a time.
We are called by God to serve the vulnerable (Isaiah 1:17), and our mission is to bring hope, nourishment, healing, and education to underserved children and families in Haiti—showing Christ’s love through compassionate action.
